Fregate Island, Seychelles is an archipelago just four degrees south of the equator, The private island is an icon of conservation and luxury. A sanctuary to thousands of tropical birds, over 2000 Giant Aldabra Tortoises and 16 beautifully hands built residences with private pools, this is a real paradise.
With conservation front of mind, no detail has been spared to enhance the guest experience and with seven beaches, a private harbour, dive centre, unique dining facilities, chapel and kids facilities the island is an entirely self-contained ecosystem.
The ultimate family holiday destination, days are spent scuba or diving, snorkelling, cycling or hiking the trails that criss-cross the island. A day with the resident ecologist will take you past the nesting sites of turtles, seabirds and include you in his fieldwork. The angling is best of a kind and can be combined with island hopping expeditions to other islands.
With a no visitors policy, the island and resort remain 100% private to guests and ensures that their exclusivity is upheld. The island provides in total 16 private residences: 13 private homes, two private pool houses and one private pool spa house, which is similar to a secret pool twin home but with an additional private mini spa bath. The Banyan Hill Estate, which includes three separate sleeping residences each for two persons and one child.
With the residences built using mahogany and decorated in Teak, they have been designed and configured to tie in harmoniously with nature and the eco standpoint of the island. With their extensive infinity pool, large terrace, days beds, a jacuzzi, private butler and in-villa dining, one never need to leave the sanctuary of your villa

Magnificently located on a hilltop on a secluded peninsula overlooking the harbour, beaches and a large part of the island, our five-building complex combines a high level of luxury with a unique feel of privacy and natural beauty.

Featuring two restaurants, two bar area’s and an extensive wine cellar the resort takes pride in offering fresh organically grown ingredients that come straight from the sea or their gardens. With a myriad of flavours, their chefs have created a varied menu that includes traditional international cuisine and a selection of Creole-style dishes.
With a host of venues to choose from, Frigate offers in Villa or private dining at various strategic points around the island. The yachts club, a sunset boat ride with cocktails, a beach barbecue, an intimate treehouse dinner, a sashimi picnic watching the sunset or lunch at the highest point on the island Mont Signal.
With a panoramic view of the Indian Ocean, the Rock spa is geared for relaxation in the purest sense. Whether it be yoga, a training session or use of the gym, all things lead to the various treatments.
Fregate Island Private’s Rock Spa is the ideal spot to both relax and revitalise the mind, body and soul. Drawing on age-old know-how and the healing properties of local plants, the spa's experts offer beauty treatments, massages and yoga instruction in a truly peaceful environment.
They have partnered with a Seychellois company “Nourished by Nature” and use ingredients from the Fregate Island plantation that complements their range of treatments and therapies perfectly. The products are thus made in the Seychelles and offer the ultimate in relaxation, revitalisation and detoxification.
The island offers a host of facilities which include diving, surfing, kayaking and angling equipment all under the watchful eye of the members of the resort's team of hosts and hostesses. Sailing is a favourite pastime, and Hobbies, windsurfers and Optimists for children are available to guests free of charge.
The Angling is exceptional with the big game on hand for all manner of enthusiasts. Guests can even enjoy a day trip with a local Seychellois fisherman sure to leave lasting memories of the highlights enjoyed in the crystal clear water surrounding this pristine resort islands protected shores.
