North Island, a resort in Seychelles is an extraordinary example of the sustainable, ecologically sensitive utilisation of precious natural treasure. Being located on a magnificent palm and beach-dominated island in the Indian Ocean, this resort has become a favourite getaway destination for those visitors who appreciate tranquillity, privacy, exclusive amenities, luxurious accommodation, outstanding and personalised service, as well as gourmet dining in a lush tropical island setting.
North Island is a conservation project aimed at protecting the indigenous natural flora and fauna and is home to a luxurious luxury lodge resort. For the construction of the lodge, materials reaped from the restoration process have been used, capturing the true essence of North Island, which provides an exclusive and unique experience in harmony with the natural environment of Seychelles.
Privacy is guaranteed, as only a few guest villas are provided, of which each is exquisitely designed to enhance nature, and at the same time offer an exclusive and comfortable retreat, away from the home ambience. Being one of the most northerly of all the granitic Inner Islands, the island measures 3.4 kilometres by 2.2 kilometres, covering an area of around 205 hectares, and is situated about 32 kilometres north-west of Mahe and 5 kilometres north of Silhouette.
Accommodation consists of exclusive Presidential, Royal and North Islands Villas, all of which are handcrafted from wood, local stone and glass with thatched rooves.
Extraordinary levels of luxury are offered at the resort features 11 private villas, ten presidential villas and the Villa North Island. The spacious Presidential Villa covers over 450 square metres in space and is self-contained. It features a luxurious bedroom, writing and a changing room, with en-suite bathroom featuring a Balinese marble bath, shower and outdoor shower. Air conditioning, overhead fans, and sliding doors are provided in the villas.
The Villa Royale and the Villa North Island have been designed to accommodate the incline along the extreme northern side of the Anse d’Est beach, the villas being nicely positioned in the Takamaka forest. Magnificent beach and ocean views can be enjoyed from the comfort of these Villas.

Grande Anse Beach: located on the island's western side, about 1.5 km long and fringed by coral reefs, sunset bar
Petite Anse Beach: located on the south-east of the island, small beach bordered by granitic outcrops on each side
Anse D’Est Beach: Situated on the eastern side of the island
Bonnet Carre Beach: small private beach located close to a rocky outcrop at the southern end of Grande Anse Beach
In the middle of the island, two freshwater lakes have been formed by the runoff from the granitic mountains and the geological structure of the plateau itself
Access to North Island, Seychelles
Air Seychelles, British Airways, Air France, Condor, Lufthansa, South African Airways, Air Mauritius, Kenyan Airways, Air Madagascar and Interior provide regularly scheduled air services from Continental Europe, the United Kingdom, Africa and the islands of the Mascarene Plateau to the Seychelles International Airport on Mahe. Guests from the United States access Seychelles through Europe, through South and East Africa.
From Mahe, access to North Island Private Sanctuary is by a 20-minute private helicopter charter. Meet, and Assist service is provided at Seychelles International Airport and from all hotels on Mahe.

Oh it was my lifelong dream to once visit the beautiful North Island in the Seychelles...and our honeymoon made this unforgettable dream come true for us. We loved it here and could have not chosen a more perfect, romantic, exclusive and private honeymoon destination.
The staff is very professional and attentive, we could have not asked and wished for better service, facilities and location!
We would love to come back again one day, maybe when we celebrate our 25 year wedding anniversary...
