Le Saint Alexis

The nautical theme four-star-hotel Le Saint Alexis is situated on the shores of the Boucan Canot Beach around a grand 1000 cubic meter swimming pool. Taking its name from the French vessel that was responsible for its famous passages to open up the spice route its arrival in Reunion in 1848 marked the beginning of French influence which until today has to lead to the establishment of this prestigious address and prides itself as the oldest four-star hotel on the island.

Rooms and facilities

Offering ten standard rooms, 17 deluxe rooms, 15 junior suites and five luxury suites all provide either sea views or poolside terraces.

Standard Rooms

Ranging from 25 to 35 square meters they are generously furnished, 8 of which are attic style. Amenities include a writing desk and double whirlpool bathtub in most rooms.

Deluxe rooms

With an en-suite terrace or balcony which divides the space into an inside and outside area, the spacious 42sq meter living area has spacious bathrooms double whirlpool bathtubs, double washbasins, hairdryer and separate toilets.

Junior-suites

Ranging from 53 to 55 square meters, with queen size beds, a roomy bathroom, drawing room, whirlpool tub and separate shower, all offer a terrace with the pool or balcony.

Suites

At 80 to 92 square meters, these apartment-style suites have an entrance area, separated bedroom, queen size bed, drawing room, sofa bed, balcony or poolside terrace. The roomy bathroom has a whirlpool bath and independent multi-head shower.

Restaurant and Bar

With breakfast opening at 6:30 until 10:30 am and available on either the outside deck or panoramic dining room, the buffet offers a wide choice or continental and international items which are sure to delight.

Six covered balconies are overlooking the ocean and whether on the first or second floor, offer views of the Indian Ocean. There is also a beautiful garden which borders the beach, and here sun-umbrellas and coconut trees provide the perfect position to enjoy a lunch or dinner. Lunch is served from 12 pm to 2 pm and dinner 7:30 pm to 22:00 pm.

Combining comfortable classical and exotic cooking styles, the dishes reflect a combination of French and local ingredients and recipes with a highly recommended tasting menu. Choose from a la carte or kids menus for younger diners.

Spa

With views of the ocean and the sound of the sea, the resort offers a heated pool, various aquatic massage devices and multiple head showers.

The traditional body scrubs, massages, face masks and steam baths in the Turkish baths are only outdone by the most recent innovations in spa equipment namely an “adventure shower”. Here jets of water in various strengths included with multiple temperatures in an atmosphere that provides for individual lighting and exotic fragrances into this unique spa experience.

Conference rooms

On the second floor, the 700 square meter area offers three conference rooms, a dining room, and a wooden deck overlooking the ocean. The conference rooms can be equipped for up to 80 persons and both open on the terrace where refreshments or eats are served.
